In terms of difficulty, its piss poor, even with mods to ramp it up, its still easy. Much of the time will be spent interacting with the world, questing and exploring. Unlike dark souls, its selling point is its lore and immersive world. Hyper Light Drifter might have appeared on our recommendation list for indie games like Legend of Zelda, but actually, it’s a game that borrows elements from both that and Dark Souls.Basically, the difficulty curve is almost ridiculous with unexpectedly fast-paced and brutal combat. Skyrim as pointed earlier, great rpg game. Available on: PS4, Xbox One, PC, Linux and Mac. Dark souls being hard and Skyrim being easy. I consider this the medium difficulty when comparing it to dark souls and skyrim. I also feel you'd enjoy it for its difficulty level, as playing through it the 1st time, getting used to the game mechanics was pretty fun. Just imagine playing 2 or more characters in dark souls AT THE SAME TIME, making them move to a certain point, dodging, attacking etc. I suggest watching a gameplay vid before you get it as its not a game for everyone as the main mechanic of the game is micromanaging. Mechanics are similar to WoW, except you control a "squad" or "team". Witcher 1 is more like WoW mechanics, the old school rpg where its point and click, regardless of that, its still a great game.ĭragon age is another of my favorite rpgs, spiritual successor to baldurs gate if you've ever played it. Witcher 2 has similar gameplay mechanics to dark souls and its right up your alley, its an rpg with rich lore and great storyline.
